My Earrings Talk?

It is important to remember that all the jewelry pieces work together. For example, a set may include a ring, a bracelet and earrings. The ring will vibrate to let you know you have an incoming message. The coordinating bracelet will allow you to view the message (display it), and finally the earring will play the message allowing you to hear it.

What does this button do?

The necklace below contains a 16-bit processor. It weighs just a few onuces and contains a small battery. By talking into the hidden microphone you can send out vocie messages or leave messages. All you would have to do is hold down the small button on the side, and speak clearly into the center peice.

Can I buy this now?

If it sounds to be good to be true, that's because it almost is. With IBM being the largest and primary contributor to this "concept," that's unfortunatley what it will remain. At least for now. All the prototypes that have been generated have merely been to show just what can be done by means of wireless communication. For the time being, it will not be released to the public.
So far, it has been said that the jewelry communicates just as well as cellular phones and other computer appliances. However, the jewelry is by no means perfect. Several things still plague this concept. First of all they have yet to find a way of charging the jewelry. And of course finding small enough chips and radios to fit the jewelry while remining appealing to the eye is another great hurtel.
